Fushan Small Peanut Roasting

According to the public notice of January 2024, Fushan Small Peanut Roasting is one of the new inscriptions in the recommended list for the fourth batch of district-level intangible cultural heritage items. Its category is traditional craft and its applicant unit is the Baima Town People's Government. The first part of the title is the name of a mountain in Baima Town; the second part is a word describing the peanut variety or grade, which the notice does not explain. It is the only roasted-goods item among the projects recommended in this batch.

Entry to be expanded. This is a skeleton entry: at present it guarantees only that the fields and sources are complete. Still to be added: the peanut variety and growing area referred to by that word, the medium and the heat used in roasting, the flavour and the way the nuts are kept, the area in which they are sold, and the historical origin and line of transmission.
