According to the public notice of January 2024, Cloisonné Enamel Craft is one of the new inscriptions in the recommended list for the fourth batch of district-level intangible cultural heritage items, in the traditional fine-art category. Together with Lishui Traditional Flower Arrangement Craft, it was submitted by the Yongyang Subdistrict Office.

Bearer

The same notice lists Zhang Juhua as a bearer in this batch, for Cloisonné Enamel Craft. Three other entries in the list of bearers are attached to items that do not appear in the recommended project list of this batch; no level is inferred for them. The items are recorded in the notice as follows:

陶艺烧造技艺、洪蓝传统牛肉制作技艺、金陵派古琴演奏技艺

Translated: Pottery Firing, Honglan Traditional Beef Making, and Jinling-school Guqin Playing.

Wording of the item name

The name joins two terms, one a conventional label for this kind of enamelware and the other a description of the wire-and-enamel technique. The notice does not say whether the two are used as synonyms or refer to different things, and this entry follows the wording as it stands.
